Chapter 613

Young Eagles Coordinator

Donald E. Taylor

The program is to teach kids between the ages of 8 - 17 about aviation, parts of an airplane, what makes it fly and safety around the airplane and the airport.

You will experience a safe and enjoyable flight that will give new perspectives on the world and life in general.

The program is free, all you have to do is fill out a Young Eagles Registration Form and have it signed by a parent or guardian.

On the left are just a few of the airplanes used in young eagles flights which last nearly a half hour.

After the flight each one receives a Young Eagles certificate, which shows the date, what aircraft, location and pilot's signature. Also your registration form is sent to the EAA Aviation Foundation in Oshkosh WI where your name is entered into the largest log book in the world.

At left Young Eagles receive their certificates after the flight.
